Even though this arrangement of the tune is done by Jun Senoue (known for doing the majority of music in the later 3-D Sonic games), with the inclusion of his signature guitar sound, this new rendition sounds akin to the music heard in later Sonic games. Even so, upon first listen, I was instantly transported back to a happier time =)

Below is a comparison picture between the newly-acquried Mother 3 and my GBA copy of Link to the Past. I’ve decided I like the Mother 3 box better since it takes up less space for a start.

With the game being as user-friendly as it is, the only thing I was worried about (apart from not knowing what the characters are saying) was the fact that the PSI names and desc. are in Japanese so I wouldn’t really know which one was PSI Fire or PSI Freeze etc. Luckily, the game came with a little quick-start guide and apart from showing the game’s controls, it also had a PSI list, which was colour-coded, which will make things alot easier the next time I decide to play through the game =)

His other special moves include PK Freeze, PK Thunder
and PSI Magnet. It’s too bad Lucas can’t actually perform
any of these in MOTHER 3, it’s Kumatora who does. But
she’s not in the game now is she?

Blade Runner: The Final Cut (5-Disc Ultimate Collectors’ Edition)

Disc 1 – Ridley Scott’s All-New “Final Cut” Version of the film – Restored and remastered with added and extended scenes, added lines, new and cleaner special effects and all new 5.1 Dolby Digital Audio. Also included is commentary by Ridley Scott and a host of others that worked behind the camera.

Disc 2 – Documentary – Dangerous Days: Making of Blade Runner – A feature-length documentary about the film including viewpoints and insights from the cast and crew. Included are details on every stage of production of the film including special effects, casting, and even the film’s literary roots and its place in the sci-fi genre.

Disc 3 – 1982 Theatrical Version – The original that contains Deckard’s narration and has Deckard and Rachel’s (Sean Young) “happy ending” escape scene.

1982 International Version – Also used on U.S. home video, laserdisc and cable releases up to 1992. This version is not rated, and contains some extended action scenes in contrast to the Theatrical Version.

1992 Director’s Cut – Omits Deckard’s voiceover narration and removes the “happy ending” finale. It adds the famous “unicorn” sequence, which is a vision that Deckard has which suggests that he is also a replicant.

Disc 4 – BONUS Disc “Enhancement Archive” – Eight featurettes, image galleries, radio interview with the author, and screen tests for the part of Rachel.

Disc 5 – Workprint Version – This rare version of the film is considered by some to be the most radically different of all the Blade Runner cuts. It has an altered opening scene, no Deckard narration until the final scenes, no “unicorn” sequence, no Deckard/Rachel “happy ending,” altered lines between Rutger Hauer and his creator Tyrell (Joe Turkell), and alternate music.

Also included is commentary by Paul M. Sammon, author of Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner and a featurette – “All Our Variant Futures: From Workprint to Final Cut”.

It was announced on 1oth October followed a day later with information about Sonic’s special moves.

Up Special Move is the “Spring Jump” which launches Sonic into the air. Obviously this can be used to recover after having been knocking off the playing field. If used in the ground, the spring remains and other characters can use it.

The Side Special Move is the “Spin Dash”, which is pretty self-explanatory, especially if you know Sonic. While spinning, it is possible to rise up and pursure your enemy with a mid-air attack, before using another spin dash to propel yourself in the opposite direction.

Finally, the Down Special Move is the “Spin Charge”, which I assume, the longer the charge, the faster your spin dash will be.

“It’s in your nature to destroy yourselves”

Now for a hypothetical. Lets say someone is in control of a big red button, which must not be pressed under any circumstances, as pressing the button will destroy the entire world and the controller is prefectly aware of this.

Now, you’ve got to wonder, how many people would willingly choose to press this button, knowing it will destroy everything?  That’s one to think about.

 Lucas is one of the main characters in the Japan-only GBA game Mother 3 (Earthbound 2), a game so awesome you don’t even have to know Japanese to understand what’s going on.

 Hopefully this will be a shining beacon of light for those who want to see a release outside of Japan, and at least it will give the Mother series the exposure it frankly deserves for once.

 No word on Ness yet, but I hope he’s in it =)

Most of it has been work, while the rest of my time comprised of watching Twin Peaks, watching Magnum PI, re-watching all my Quantum Leap’s and watching Bladerunner, which I’ll write another post about in the near future.That and BBC2 is showing the first season of Heroes here in the UK, and I love it.

It was my birthday on the 27th and although I didn’t get much, I did get £200, of which I spent £50 yesterday. I bought the first seasons of Magnum P.I and Twin Peaks and New Super Mario Bros for the DS, a game I’ve been meaning to get for some time.

I’ve also been playing a lot of Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, which I finished unsurprising quickly. It’s good, but not amazing. Heh, I could say the same for the Simpsons movie, which I saw on youtube the other day. Although, that being said, it was better than I though it would be.

I still have birthday money left over, which I may spent, although I’m not sure yet. I made a big list of movies and TV shows I want to get on DVD, including The Shawshank Redemption, Scarface, and others, which I can’t seem to remember. Oh well.
