I’ve been playing The Sims 2 today, for the first time in quite a while. Since it isn’t my game, and I don’t play it that often, I only have the one Sim (a Servo), so it’s easier to maintain.
The advantages of a Servo over a regular Sim are that they never age, they don’t need food, comfort, hygiene or energy, in fact all of these are compressed into the simple need of “Power”, plus they also have maximum cooking, cleaning and mechanical skills right from word go.
Now this way of obtaining them does use the debug cheat, so its up to you whether you want to do it or not, you can get a Servo without using it, but it’ll take longer.
Okay, lets go!
The Servo will share the same surname as your Sim, so make sure its something you like, you can now move the Servo to another house if you wish.
Now, “Power” is a Servo’s most important need. You can recharge during the daytime by clicking on the Servo and selecting that option, and you can “Power Down” at night to conserve power (if its low) until you can recharge the next day.
Simple.
Its 5th June, Tiger Army’s latest album was released today. Their myspace band profile has the entire album uploaded so people can have a listen, but its for today only. I’m listening to it right now, I’ve got as far up as Lunatone, which might be my favourite so far. The album sounds similar to III, so its really more of the same, but more of the same means its damn good. Here’s the tracklisting:
01. Prelude: Signal Return
02. Hotprowl
03. Afterworld
04. Forever Fades Away
05. Ghosts of Memory
06. LunaTone
07. Pain
08. As the Cold Rain Falls
09. Hechizo de Amor
10. Spring Forward
11. Where the Moss Slowly Grows
I have no idea why they dropped the roman numerals, there doesn’t seem to be a reason to not call the album Tiger Army IV, and keep the same title, “Tiger Army IV: Music From Regions Beyond”. Perhaps they did it for an explicit reason, I don’t know, neither do I really mind.
